A SHORT HISTORY OF THE SQUAW VALLEY HERB GARDENS
In 1984 two artists from Reedley bought a run down, five-acre parcel of land in Squaw Valley. Over the past 24 years Tim and Rosemary, Friesen & Nachtigall, have worked, lived and loved this fixer-upper in to an old-fashioned, rustic, home and garden ... a 'living canvas' alive with whimsy and playfulness. The views spectacular with landscapes full of peaceful harmony. It's an inspiring life living with the land. The herbs are the ingredients for beauty, health and flavor ... a sweet life.

A SHORT HISTORY OF MEDICINE

1000 B.C.   -   "That root is heathen, say this prayer."
1850 A.D.   -   "That prayer is superstition, drink this potion."
1940 A.D.   -   "That potion is snake oil, swallow this pill."
1985 A.D.   -   "That pill is ineffective, take this antibiotic."
2000 A.D.   -   "That antibiotic is artificial. Here, eat this root!"
